The Telling in Full Exhibition, Peter Scott Gallery, 2017

During the last year of my degree in Fine Art and Creative Writing at Lancaster University, my coursemate Jessica Elleray and I co-curated this exhibition as part of the Lancaster Words Festival. Whilst the exhibition was part of a literary festival, Telling in Full represented a meeting of the fine arts and text of all kinds, and how both creative expressions contribute differently to meaning.

Held in Lancaster's Peter Scott Gallery, 29 national and international artists responded to literature ranging from '60s job applications to the poetry of Ovid. Using paint, porcelain, film, textiles and more the artists teased out the shadows of 44 different texts.

Jessica Elleray's own artwork can be seen here.

A digital catalogue of the exhibition can be viewed here.
