Crystal Cave, Bermuda

One of Bermuda's most extraordinary caves, with a deep crystal-clear pool and an underwater system that leads out to the Atlantic. The formations reaching up from the cave floor look within touching distance, but are actually far below the surface of the water.

 

This is one of my most complex miniatures to date; getting the clarity and translucency of the swags of stalactites and intricate formations was a real challenge. A wonderful colour palette to be working with though!
