Last Stand

Hiking along the Watkin Path towards Yr Wyddfa's (Snowdon’s) summit on a misty morning, I was impressed by the sparse solidity of this old structure. These are the isolated remains of the quarry men’s barracks from the South Snowdon Slate Quarry, lying in a valley below Snowdon’s peak.
