Towards Godrevy
The view down to Porth-cadjack Cove, south of Portreath, where the coast path undulates towards Godrevy Lighthouse in the distance. It was a scorching hot day with a jewel-bright atmosphere, and the colours of the bell heather and gorse absolutely sang.
There's no short-cutting when painting all that life on the cliffsides; just patience and careful balancing to do justice to how vibrant and dense it was in person. It took 71 hours of work, chasing after the rich texture and vibrancy of the cliffsides; see the video below for how I built up the colours and textures.
