Under the Canopy

Through the lacey tangle of mangrove roots and branches, the sand stretches away to the peaceful expanse of Castle Harbour, reflecting Bermuda's vivid blue sky.

     This painting was a real challenge, trying to get the soft warm atmosphere and the light bouncing round the cradle of the mangrove trees; without sacrificing too much detail, which is always my favourite thing to tease out in paint!
